| Assignment Description: | Work with teachers, review MAP scores, and ask for input from elementary principal in order to identify students that could benefit from enrichment/advanced instruction. Plan and implement enrichment activities supporting Math and Literacy concepts for identified K-6 students. Plan and implement enrichment activities supporting creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills for identified K-6 students. Support K-6 teachers with enrichment resources for their classroom and potential special projects. Actively communicate with core teachers of the student about content, progress, etc. Be actively involved in gaining and sharing differentiation knowledge with CRICS teachers concerning gifted students by participating in EdWeb, seminars, conferences, etc. and by leading small group or faculty training sessions. Use evidence based strategies to assess gifted students and track progress. Meet regularly with the ASP team or other assigned oversight. At the direction of the ASP coordinator or elementary principal, advocate for enrichment activities supporting Math and Literacy concepts. Oversee the selection and use of relevant enrichment resources. |
