In His day Jesus was a welcome relief from the corruption of the occupation government and the strictures of the Pharisees. At the prime of His earthly ministry, Jesus attracted a crowd wherever He went.

PSA normally stands for Public Service Announcement. It is an acronym to remember as we walk the earth each day: Pray: Lord; open my eyes to see what you see in the world around me. Scan: Be aware of people; evaluate their situation to see how you might make a positive impact. Ask: What opportunities do I have to be like Jesus today? Ask, for example, am I willing to be interrupted today? Am I willing to interrupt my life to let Jesus work in and through me for His good pleasure?

Luke 7“11 Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. 12 As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” 15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.”
a Jesus-parade was intercepted by a funeral procession. A widow who had lost her husband had now lost her only son. And with her son’s death, she had lost all hope. There was great mourning.
Jesus interrupted the funeral to give assurance that better days were coming. To everyone’s amazement Jesus spoke with authority over sickness, disappointment and even death. Even though Jesus was busy, He stopped long enough to look. He allowed Himself the margin to assess the situation, and that drove Him to action.PSA normally stands for Public Service Announcement. Everywhere we go, we have an opportunity to share the Gospel through speech or action. Lord, thank You for empowering us with your Holy Spirit. Give us strength and courage every day to PSA, that is, Pray, Scan, Ask to accomplish our mission and talk of the good news the Gospel.
Very thought-provoking blogs. I will think about them as I go through my day today and in the future.
