| Assignment Description: | A gifted and dedicated PE teacher is required to teach grades 3-12. The successful candidate should be competent in a range of different sports and activities suitable for a broad age range. They should be confident with teaching younger children and be comfortable managing groups of up to 20 students. Students currently spend 1-2 45-minute lessons a week in PE lessons. A range of activities is offered including badminton, table tennis, soccer, basketball and baseball. The school has boys and girls soccer teams in the middle and high school and the students are able to practice all the above sports during their break and lunch times. The successful candidate is expected to continue to develop our new school PE curriculum and to expand the range of sporting activities that students can engage in outside of lessons. This includes arranging sports fixtures with local schools and organising clubs within school time. Our school has recently partnered with local schools to increase the number of competitive events that can be offered and the successful candidate will work with these schools to best serve our students. |
