Position Purpose & Accountability Context The Head of School (HOS) serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the institution, carrying singular accountability to the Board of Directors acting as a unified collective body. A. Execution of Board Ends (Organizational Outcomes) • Spiritual & Cultural Alignment: Ensures the school visibly embodies its non-negotiable Christian mission across all aspects of student life, personnel practices, and community engagement. • Dual-Language Fluency: Establishes, protects, and expands rigorous bilingual integration, producing students fully capable of high-level academic, professional, and cultural literacy in both instructional languages. • International Standards: Guarantees curriculum alignment with premier international benchmarks to secure global university placement and worldwide academic mobility for graduates. B. Adherence to Executive Limitations (Operational Boundaries) • Institutional Integrity: Directs all financial, human, and physical assets to prevent any imprudent, illegal, or unethical operational practices. • Staff and Student Protections: Maintains clear, dignified, and culturally sensitive safety and employment frameworks suited for a highly diverse, cross-border community. 2. Specialized Profile & Qualifications A. Cultural & Linguistic Mastery • Professional fluency (written and spoken) in English with basic understanding of Spanish. • Proven cross-cultural agility, with experience leading diverse, multi-national faculty and navigating local and international community relations. B. Spiritual Alignment • Clear, demonstrable commitment to orthodox Christian faith, showing personal maturity and institutiona lspiritual leadership. • Competence in integrating a biblical worldview authentically within an internationally diverse, multi-faith, rmulti-cultural student enrollment. C. Professional Credentials & Leadership • Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Educational Leadership, Business Administration, or a relatedfield. • Experience in Administrative roles (HOS, Principal, or equivalent) • Familiar with international accreditation protocols (we are accredited with ACSI Latin America) |

| Job Comment: | The Head of School will have a support Leadership Team that includes the head of HR, a Coordinator from each level (Preschool, Elementary, and HS), Finance Manager, IT, Spiritual Development Leader, and Marketing Coordinator. Las Palmas Christian School has 495 students from K3-12th grade. We are a bilingual school. American teachers teach English, Math, and Science in English and our Dominican teachers teach Spanish and Sociales in Spanish. We do offer a small salary for the Head of School (equivalent to approx $1000 US dollars per month). It is expected that the Head of School is mission minded and comes as a missionary with financial support and prayer from family, friends, and local churches. |
