Assignment Description: Athletics Director - Job Description Job Purpose - To carry out the duties of Athletics Director under the direction of the Head of School and the Senior School Principal. - To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and Christian witness Main Duties and Responsibilities: Typically, the Athletics Director, you will be required to: - Have experience teaching across all ages, including middle and high school, particularly teaching IGCSE Physical Education. - Have a love of the subject. - Have a high regard for the learning environment and resources. - Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and ambitious teacher, who will ensure good progress for all students. - Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students. - Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student- led learning. - Use áppropriate technology and resources to deliver the curriculum. - Be able to develop, plan and deliver effective and high quality learning experiences to all students. - Be an aspirational professional who is enthusiastic, influential and committed to working in pursuit of excellence for Acacia International School and its learners. - Be part of a team that enforces high standards of behavior and pushes students to achieve their very best. - Observe and support all PE teachers and external coaches. - Oversee all swimming rotas and coach schedules. - Oversee and regularly review PE curriculum taught at primary and secondary. - Oversee ISAAK and attend all ISAAK meetings. - Procure new Sports equipment and keep quarterly inventory lists of all sports equipment on both campuses. - Plan and organise all Acacia sporting events, including Sports Day, Inter-house Football and Basketball, and the Swim Gala. - Facilitate all mandatory training for new coaches (Child Protection, First Aid)
