| Assignment Description: | Discovery Academy is a Christ-centered, English-immersion school in Quito, Ecuador. Our mission is to provide an excellent education that nurtures the whole child—mind, heart, and character—to impact the world for Christ. Lower Elementary teachers at Discovery Academy co-teach in pairs. Two teachers share core subjects (for example: one teaches English Language Arts & Social Studies; the other teaches Math & Science). This collaborative model reduces planning time, strengthens content focus, and fosters teamwork. The 3rd Grade Teacher integrates a biblical worldview in every subject, builds a joyful and respectful classroom culture, partners closely with families, and works alongside colleagues to support each learner—especially English-language learners—toward measurable growth. We are seeking teachers who are excited about growing with the school community long-term. While initial commitments are one year, Discovery Academy values and promotes multi-year service and leadership development within its staff. |
