| Assignment Description: | JOB DESCRIPTION ACACIA ART TEACHER The responsibilities of the position are to be performed in accordance with the provisions of Acacia ‘Employment Contract’ & the ‘Terms of Service’. Job Purpose 1) To carry out the duties of Art Teacher under the direction of the Senior School Principal. 2) To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and Christian witness. Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Typically as a Art Teacher you will be required to: - Have experience of teaching across all ages including middle school and high school. | Assignment Description: | Students in grades 1-8 at Grace Christian Academy receive one art class per week. High School students are required to take one weekly art class during one year of their high school experience. There are currently a total of 13 weekly art classes. In order to create full time positions for all of our "specials" teachers, they are involved in teaching other subjects, in accordance with their expertise. Recent contributions have been Bible classes, but other "specials" teachers have offered classes in P.E., music, Math, Language Arts, Spanish, and French. Sometimes the additional "subjects" are as simple as study hall supervision. The art teacher is also crucial in the decoration of shared spaces in our building. This has been an opportunity to showcase the artwork produced in classes, provide additional art experiences for the students, and to promote school themes. |

Such housing is off campus but located within a 20-minute walk or short bike ride from the school. Single teachers are placed in 3–4-bedroom apartments with 2 bathrooms. Family housing is not shared. However, if one spouse is working for a company that provides housing, this benefit is not available. |

There are no extraordinary fees for our students, including textbooks, building maintenance, development, music, or other fees often hidden within the fee structures at other schools.
