| Assignment Description: | JOB DESCRIPTION ACACIA ART TEACHER The responsibilities of the position are to be performed in accordance with the provisions of Acacia ‘Employment Contract’ & the ‘Terms of Service’. Job Purpose 1) To carry out the duties of Art Teacher under the direction of the Senior School Principal. 2) To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and Christian witness. Main Duties and Responsibilities: - Typically as a Art Teacher you will be required to: - Have experience of teaching across all ages including middle school and high school. Knowledge and experience of - - - Cambridge iGCSE and AP Art would be preferable, but not essential. - Have a love of the subject, and should have developed their own artistic skills - Have developed skills in at least two of the following areas: painting, drawing, sculpture and design - Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and ambitious teacher, who will ensure good progress for all students. - Be dedicated to raising standards and working in partnership with others. - Have the ability to inspire, engage and enthuse students in Art. - Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning. - Have high regard for the classroom learning environment and resources. - Use technology to deliver the curriculum. - Be able to develop, plan and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all students. - Be an aspirational professional who is enthusiastic, influential and committed to working in pursuit of excellence for Acacia International School and its learners. - Be part of a team which enforces high standards of behaviour and pushes students to achieve their very best in Art. An annual review of this job description and allocation of particular responsibilities will take place as part of the Performance Review. |
