Watching and sending is one way of serving Christ. And then there are times when being the supportive hands and feet becomes a God-guided reality. Where there is a calling, God will provide a way.

Meet Angeline Chichaya

Always involved in the mission-mindedness of serving, I could no longer bear just watching and sending. I felt a strong desire to become a more active, hands-on participant to global missional impact. After months of serious searching, God literally helped me find the MissionNext website as I did some Google searches one evening after Christmas dinner.

After filling out a service profile, I took a short-term mission trip I found through the website. That trip reinforced the truth that “with God all things are possible.” My heart’s passion was validated, and my desire grew to be His hands and feet in missions somewhere.

What’s Next, Lord?

Returning from the short-term trip, I chose to start down the path to become a Journey Guide with MissionNext. Every step of the way, what could have been a challenge became a possibility.

Continuing to serve on my church’s leadership team and in its Caring, Worship, and Visual Arts ministries, I recently began a new role to coach fellow missionaries as they seek God’s will. My hands help others’ feet walk the path toward their God-given mission.

As I speak to those God is motivating to step out, stretch, and take new journeys, I am more and more convicted of God’s view of the world–that He needs our hands and feet to reach and help people.

In my opinion, MissionNext is one of the most understanding, flexible and supportive agencies to work with! I love the reach this organization has around the world, and the different types of missions made possible through our partners. Facilitating God’s calling is a vital tool in His work.

Is God calling you into missions? Don’t let fear hold you back from being His hands and feet, tasting His goodness! Explore some of our short-term trips featured on the MissionNext website.

Angeline Chichaya

Angeline grew up in a Christian home and has always enjoyed serving in the church and reaching out to those who are physically and spiritually in need. She currently serves on the lay leadership, caring, worship and visual arts teams at her church. Angeline's cultural depth is a result of Christian friendships representing different world cultures, years of pastoral ministry overseas and leading various church initiatives in Southern and West Africa. While overseas, Angeline served in the church while running a successful computer training school and thriving floral business. She brought this background when she came to the United States where she entered the corporate world. She worked for 14 years in the financial services industry leading both training and technology departments while continuing to serve in her local church. She completed her M.B.A. in Management at Dallas Baptist University in 2013 while working full time and being a mom. Angeline felt a calling back to full time ministry over the course of time and looks forward to leaving a legacy of being used by God to make a difference for others.
