NOT DETECTED!

Not-DetectedNo doubt, like many of you, I had a COVID-19 test. In my case it was after traveling. The result came back, “NOT DETECTED.” I suppose that is the best anyone can hope for. But I got to thinking that maybe it is me that is “NOT DETECTED.” At times I have been in a public place, or even in a church I was visiting, where no one paid attention to me. It was as though I was “NOT DETECTED!”

Are there biblical equivalents? Think along with me on this. When we as Christ-followers get to heaven, we will see that our sin has been erased. It was taken as far as the East is from the West and remembered against us no more. Jesus stands in our place. He is our righteousness. Our sin is “NOT DETECTED!”

Those that have not believed might argue that they have done good deeds in life and even served in the church. But it is Jesus Himself who warns that His response could be, “I never knew you.” You are “NOT DETECTED!”

It is good to plan forward, to lay up treasure in Heaven, rather than build fortune on earth. In Matthew 19:29 Jesus offers this: “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life.” Jesus is paying attention. We don’t want to get to the end of our days only to find that our inattention to expanding the kingdom is “NOT DETECTED!”

To be His witnesses to the ends of the earth, we must show up. Know that every discipline is needed in the missionary effort. See the possibilities for you to be detected by registering or logging in at MissionNext.org.
