| Assignment Description: | Santiago Christian School seeks an experienced science teacher to help build a STEM program that can serve as an example and resource in a country that ranks 133 out of 137 in math and science education (World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Report, 2017-2018). Successful candidates can implement Next Generation Science Standards with hands-on inquiry-based labs and activities in areas such as biology, chemistry and physics. The science teacher will support the goal of igniting students’ passion for discovery, critical thinking, and engaging the world through science as a reflection of its Creator. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree as well as evidence of an evangelical Christian faith commitment. Teacher certification and two years of experience is preferred, and previous experience in an international school is a plus. Basic understanding of Spanish is helpful, but not required. |
