Garden of Eden Tree

Between Eden and Eternity

When you find yourself doubting that you can impact eternity remind yourself that God is competent to fulfill the dream he has planted in you.

Of all the things we can put our hope in, like wealth or wisdom, nothing compares to the sure foundation of our God. He has proven Himself faithful, weaving a vast covenant narrative with His heart’s cry for humanity which is articulated in His Word. Our God’s love reaches from Eden into Eternity. It runs deep enough to fulfill every quiet promise—even down to Simeon and Anna who were able to see the long-awaited baby Jesus.

Our hope is based on God and what He can achieve with our head, our hands and feet. Ask the Lord to challenge your view of Him and teach you to trust Him with your very life, from now through all eternity. Paul prays for us, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

Despite all He has done, sometimes we find ourselves looking at our mountians and declaring they are unsurmountable. When you find yourself doubting that you can impact eternity, step back and remind yourself that God is more than competent to fulfill the dream he has planted in you. He is likely far more capable than you realize. See what this might look like for you at MissionNext.
