Why I Love the Title “St. Vicky”

“Saint” is not a badge of accomplishment – it is a declaration of grace. It is not something I achieved through discipline, education, or ministry impact. It is something I received.

Why I Love the Title “St. Vicky”

I’ve been asked – sometimes with curiosity, sometimes with hesitation – why I say that I love the title “St. Vicky.”

Let me be clear from the beginning…
It is not about prestige.
It is not about recognition.
It is not about elevating myself above anyone else.

In fact, it is quite the opposite.

A Title I Did Not Earn

If anything, the title reminds me of what I could never earn.

“Saint” is not a badge of accomplishment – it is a declaration of grace.
It is not something I achieved through discipline, education, or ministry impact.

It is something I received.

Sealed.
Covered.
Redeemed.

Not by my effort, but by the blood of Christ.

“To those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be His holy people…” (1 Corinthians 1:2)

That means this title was spoken over me long before I ever stepped into calling, leadership, or influence.

Named by My Father

There is something deeply personal about being named.

Not named by a platform.
Not named by a title on a business card.
Not named by what I produce or how I perform.

But named by my Heavenly Father.

When I say “St. Vicky,” I am reminding my own heart…
I belong to Him.
I am set apart by Him.
I am seen and known by Him.

This is not self-exaltation—it is identity alignment.

Set Apart for a Purpose

The word saint literally means “set apart.”

And that is where this becomes deeply missional.

To be set apart is not to be removed from the world—
It is to be sent into it with purpose.

To carry His presence into conversations.
To reflect His heart in leadership.
To walk in obedience even when it feels costly.

“Saint” is not a title of arrival – it is a calling into ongoing surrender.

A Title That Levels the Ground

Here’s the truth we don’t always say out loud:

If I am a saint – so are you.

This title was never meant to elevate a few, but to awaken many.

Every believer sealed by Christ
Every life redeemed by grace
Every heart surrendered to Jesus

—has been given the same identity.

So, when I say, “St. Vicky,” I am not placing myself above others.
I am standing alongside them.

We are a people marked by mercy.
A people named by God.
A people sent on mission.

Why I Hold It Closely

I love the title “St. Vicky” because it keeps me grounded.

When I am tempted to strive – it reminds me I am already chosen.
When I feel inadequate – it reminds me I am already covered.
When I step into calling – it reminds me I do not go alone.

It is not a title I carry to be seen.
It is a truth I carry to stay aligned.

A Quiet Prayer

Father,

Thank You for naming me
Not according to my past,
Not according to my performance,
But according to Your grace.

Teach me to live as one set apart—
Not in pride, but in surrender.
Not for recognition, but for Your glory.

And may my life reflect the name You have given me.

Amen.
