Job CommentOverview of BLOC: We are an inner city ministry that lives and works in the neighborhoods we serve. Our mission exists to build relationships with our neighbors and share hope in brokenness. We target neighborhoods that are underserved. We have a staff size of about 45 where we have after school programs, sports performance center, houses for women in sex trafficking, men and women transitional homes, two coffee shops, screen printing, and other forms of ministry to love our neighbors. Position Summary: Weightless Anchor is a daytime hospitality home, located in East Price Hill, that serves women stuck in the cycle of survival sex, substance abuse, and homelessness. Weightless Anchor offers hot meals, new clothes, hygiene items, showers, laundry, and most importantly love without a price. The Assistant House Manager is a key leader of the hospitality home, responsible for assisting the House Manager in managing the daily operations of the home. Primary responsibilities: Responsible for working in a manner that supports the mission of Bloc Ministries Responsible for communicating effectively with the House Manager Responsible for hands-on relationship building with the guests, volunteers, and staff of the hospitality home. General House Maintenance including inventory and organization of supplies/donations Maintaining a clean environment Ensuring proper safety precautions are being taken General Administrative Tasks - data recording, attendance tracking, updating whiteboards.
