As a supported* resource encoder, you would use your linguistic skills to develop cutting edge translation software to help minority communities receive critical resources. Today over 1,800 people groups, 170 million people, still don’t have the Bible translated into their languages! Wycliffe USA believes the Word of God can transform lives when people hear it in their own language or form, and we urgently need you to join the team! The Bible Translator’s Assistant (TBTA) is innovative translation software that combines a grammar analysis of a language with templates of community development resources for health, trauma recovery and educational resources. It speeds up translation by over 40%, enabling communities to rapidly receive resources in their own language and drastically increasing their impact. Every day has an impact! You’ll build the linguistic templates for these various resources. These templates are specially encoded digital files that clearly and accurately transfer meaning of the original text to any language. Location: remote Commitment: minimum 20 hours/week for two years *ABOUT SUPPORTED POSITIONS Supported staff (missionaries) with Wycliffe Bible Translators USA are members of a faith-based organization.
