Assignment Description | Responsibilities: Coordinate the middle school and high school guys' Bible studies Available for meeting with guys for mentoring and discipleship Regularly spend time face to face with students outside of normal youth programs This would include having lunch with them at school, taking them out for coffee/ice cream, and attending their extracurricular activities Available for students and parents to set up appointments to talk about issues needing pastoral counseling, and refer those who need clinical help to the JAARS counseling office Encourage/support MKs at JAARS and beyond through social media/messages/phone calls, to intentionally reach out and give a personal touch Provide support for both middle school and high school aged guys living in the JAARS community Requirements A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS Demonstrate a desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work-related spiritual activities without reservation A desire to work as a member of the youth team and be a team player A willingness to donate time and talent to this work without payment by the organization |
