Chief Communications Officer (Part-time, Volunteer)

Position:  Chief Communications Officer
Location: USA
Purpose:  The Chief Communications Officer will help recruit and lead a team of experts in the area of public relations, communications (internal and external), and marketing.

Key Duties: The responsibilities of the Chief Communications Officer will be to:

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Assist with setting Strategy and defining objectives for MissionNext Communications.
  • Provide oversight of all communications with partners, donors, candidates and the overall missions community.
  • Ensure consistency in brand management and increase brand awareness of MissionNext.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications in order to increase the number of candidates and agency partners.
  • Utilize social media and respond quickly to changing trends.
  • Increase participation in The Journey Deepens Retreats, Journey Deepens International, and Journey Deepens Ventures through targeted communications.

Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week.

Logistics:

There is no office space for this position; candidate will work from home using his/her own computer and high-speed internet. Day-to-day interactions will be conducted via email, telephone and video conferencing.

This is a part-time, self-supporting position. Approved expenses may be reimbursed.

Education:
College graduate in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience and skills:
Good track record of successful Communications planning and execution with measurable results.  Excellent interpersonal skills, creative, self-starter and the ability to quickly assess the communication needs and establish and execute plans to move forward.

Chief Program Officer (Part-time Volunteer)

Position:  Chief Program Officer
Location: USA
Purpose: The Chief Program Officer will be responsible for developing strategies and operations of all MissionNext programs.

Key Duties: The responsibilities of the Chief Program Officer will be to:

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Develop and execute strategies and operations for all MissionNext programs, such as:
    • The Journey Deepens Ventures
    • The Journey Deepens International
    • The Journey Deepens Mobile Mobilization Center
  • Create new effective programming in addition to enhancing existing programs
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of MissionNext programs to recruit additional Mission Agencies and Christian Schools, as well candidates for the harvest.
  • Increase MissionNext programs brand awareness across the mission community.

Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week.

Logistics:
There is no office space for this position; candidate will work from home using his/her own computer and high-speed internet. Day-to-day interactions will be conducted via email, telephone and video conferencing.  Travel to program events may be required.

Virtual Store Manager (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Position:  Virtual Store Manager
Location: USA
Purpose: Launch and run an online store for MissionNext

Key duties: The store manager will work closely with members of the MissionNext team to:

  • Execute e-marketing strategies
  • Implement online store business plans
  • Process orders and be responsible for the sales of the e-store
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Resolve customer problems or complaints by determining optimal solutions
  • Communicate, execute, and manage e-marketing plans in cooperation with other team members
  • Use different e-marketing channels such as social media (Facebook/Twitter) and search engine optimization
  • Manage store budget
  • Manage all store operational issues, including store housekeeping, store administrative duties, physical inventories, price changes, etc.
  • Manage speed of service results, control inventory that is used for service orders, and be responsible for the overall organization and appearance of the service
  • Ensure all orders are properly documented and released for shipping

Time Commitment:  This is a part-time, self-supporting position requiring 10-20 hours per week.

Staff Interaction:
Maintains a Christ-like interactive relationship with other MN staff members.

 Logistics:

  1. Work closely with the Web development team to ensure integration with the MissionNext websites.
  2. Work closely with Marketing and graphic design to insure consistent integration with the MissionNext brand.

 Education:
College degree or equivalent experience preferred but must be skilled in the online technology needed, including the internet and SEO.

Experience and skills:

  • At least 1-year work experience
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
  • Strong experience in store operation management and customer service
  • Demonstrated understanding of online marketing
  • Experience in retail a plus

 Requirements:

  • Must be organized and self-directed
  • Have a strong customer orientation
  • Must have strong computer and SEO skills.
  • Be results-oriented with a good eye for details
  • Must be self-supporting; approved ministry expenses may be reimbursed.

Donor Development Specialist (Part-time Volunteer)

Position:  Donor Development Specialist
Location: USA
Purpose: The Donor Development Specialist will generate external sources of donor revenue and gifting to ensure financial stability and continued growth of MissionNext.

Key duties: The responsibilities of the Donor Development Specialist will be to:

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Generate a comprehensive list of donor prospects.
  • Design and implement a systematic approach for contacting that list of donor prospects.
  • Help establish content for presentations to potential donors.
  • Help motivate and educate Board and Team Members to participate in donor development.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential donors.
  • Provide estate planning options to donors.
  • Implement methods to sustain and increase donor giving.

Time Commitment: 10-20 hours per week.

Partner Sales Associate (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Position:  Partner Sales Associate
Location: USA
Purpose: Increase the number of MissionNext partnerships by helping mission organizations and schools see the benefits of MissionNext services for their recruitment needs.

Key duties: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for attracting mission organizations into a financial partnership with MissionNext.

Time Commitment:  This is a part-time, self-supporting position requiring 5-10 hours per week.

Staff Interaction:

  1. Maintains a Christ-like interactive relationship with other MN staff members.
  2. Reports to the CEO.
  3. Works closely with the MissionNext Marketing and Partner Relations Teams

  1. Accomplishments and track record in sales and sales management.
  2. Experience with sales in the non-profit sector would be helpful.

Requirements:

  2. There is no office space for this position; Candidate will work from home using his/her own computer and high-speed internet. There may be little in-person contact, and day-to-day contact is via email, telephone and video conferencing.

  2. Due to virtual teamwork nature, must be a self-starter, willing to stay on task without regular face-to-face interaction.

  5. Understanding of biblical principles regarding relationships, conflict resolution, etc.

Journey Guide (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Position:  Journey Guide
Location:  USA
Purpose:  Helping others to be successful as they seek to serve the Lord in missions.

Key Duties:

  1. Contact candidates who post profiles on the MissionNext website to encourage them to use their passion, gifts and abilities for the Kingdom.
  2. Help candidates to understand their strengths/weaknesses, gifts and abilities through various assessments.
  3. Review with the candidates their score on the Qualified Candidate Scale and encourage them with steps to improve their score if needed.
  4. Assist the candidates in navigating the MissionNext resources for optimum results in the matching process with the mission agency partners.
  5. Document all communication in designated MissionNext systems.
  6. Maintain complete integrity and biblical standards in all aspects of mentoring. Work with and report to the Journey Guides Director.

Time Commitment:  This is a part-time, self-supporting position requiring 5-10 hours per week.

Staff Interaction:
Maintains a Christ-like interactive relationship with other MN staff members.

Logistics:
Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education:
College Education Preferred

Experience:
Background in mentoring, encouraging, and assisting others in life stages and circumstances; a proven networker.  Experience in staffing, either secular or ministry, a plus.

Webmaster (Part-Time, Volunteer)
Position:  Webmaster

Location: USA

Purpose: To provide overall web support for MissionNext websites and hosting environment.

Key duties: Provides technical expertise and support of MissionNext’s website and hosting environment.  Makes recommendations and implements performance improvements, web security tools, website programming and design, and configuration management.

Time Commitment:  This is a part-time, self-supporting position requiring 5-10 hours per week.

Logistics:

  1. Work with web Ministry Directors and CHief Technology Officer to develop, maintain and support new and existing websites.
  2. Work with web Ministry Directors and graphic designers to create and refine, compelling graphic design for websites.
  3. Install updates to plugins, themes, and other web components, implement changes in web infrastructure, adding/changing/removing web pages while ensuring security, speed, functionality, and reliability.
  4. Develop methods to test new plugins, web changes, and other new content without impacting customers
  5. Provide training as needed to enable MissionNext staff to implement web text, image, and video content.
  6. Communicate to the web Ministry Directors and MissionNext leadership on web development progress, security issues and scheduled downtime.
  7. Use trouble ticket system to track and resolve reported problems on production websites.
  8. Maintain complete integrity and biblical standards in all aspects of development.
  9. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

College graduate in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience and skills:

Accomplishments and track record in web infrastructure, design, and support. Personable, good communication and people skills, dependent on prayer, spiritually mature, demonstrated expertise in web development tools, (themes, plugins, PHP, HTML, and CSS coding), IT infrastructure including web domain, security and web hosting.

Assistant Director of MissionNext Education (TeachNext) (Part-time Volunteer)

POSITION: Assistant Director of MissionNext Education
Location: U.S.A.
Purpose: The Assistant Director will assist the Director with leadership and management of the MissionNext Education Pathway.

Key Duties: The responsibilities of the Assistant Director will be to:

  • Increase awareness of MissionNext Education in the International Christian education community and among Christian teachers
  • Increase awareness among Mission Agencies of the importance of partnering with MissionNext Education to help recruit staff for Christian Schools that provide education for their MK’s
  • Use web-based technology to assist in improving the MissionNext Education Pathway
  • Provide creative, effective and forward-thinking leadership
  • Use desktop tools for planning and organizing multiple activities
  • Assist in creating, editing and managing print, broadcast, and online content for MissionNext Education
  • Assist with budgetary process

Public Relations Director (Part-time Volunteer)

Position:  Public Relations Director
Location: USA
Purpose:  The Public Relations Director will be responsible for development and execution of a strategy to increase awareness of MissionNext.

Key Duties: The responsibilities of the Public Relations Director will be to:

  • Develop and execute a strategy to generate identity awareness of MissionNext through all media outlets (radio, conferences, printed press, social media)
  • Arrange for speaking engagements and interviews for the CEO
  • Develop relationships with the Media and key communication channels, both local and national
  • Post news announcements about important MissionNext events and initiatives
  • Create a strong and positive reputation for MissionNext
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the Public Relations strategies in recruiting additional Mission Agencies and Christian schools, as well as candidates for the harvest.
