Chief Advancement Officer (Part-time, Volunteer)

Position: Chief Advancement Officer

Location: USA

Purpose: The Chief Advancement Officer will outline a prayer strategy that will identify how we will work towards covering individual needs and organization needs. Create an outlined strategy for engaging with God’s purpose and the world around us. Execute strategy through our team, our partners, our candidates and our donors. Aim is to have our team as a whole bond and connect with each other through prayer and that God’s purpose would be fulfilled.

Key Duties: The responsibilities of the Chief Communications Officer will be to:

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team
  • Assess current prayer program
  • Create / enhance prayer programs

  • Create / maintain prayer request list (and results / answers)

Chief of Staff (Full Time, Volunteer)

Position: Chief of Staff

Location: USA

Purpose: The Chief of Staff will handle day-to-day coordination of the team to allow the CEO to focus on strategic planning and growing the ministry.

Key Duties:

  • Assist the CEO in identifying priorities and assessing progress
  • Assist the CEO in facilitating effective decision-making as a key thought partner and advisor
  • Assure necessary support for the CEO with respect to calendar, travel, meeting management, budget, and strategic planning
  • Assess inquiries directed to the CEO, determine the proper course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual to manage
  • Oversee ELT meeting preparation, planning, execution, and follow up; may lead the meetings with or in place of CEO
  • Provide communications support on behalf of CEO and ELT
  • Manage quarterly and annual goal/review processes for the ELT
  • Participate in regular, individual and group meetings with various Members to foster a supportive, positive working environment and identify needs to help the team succeed
  • Ensure all issues are addressed properly, efficiently, and judiciously, and keep track of progress until resolved
  • Plan leadership team retreats, developing objectives and agenda with CEO
  • Recruit and supervise support team members as needed to fulfill Chief of Staff duties

Logistics: Work is done remotely and Member will work from home using his/her own computer and internet. There may be little in-person contact, and day-to-day contact is digital via tools such as email, telephone and video conferencing.

Worker Status: Volunteer or self-supporting position.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in a relevant field (ex. Business Administration, Operational Management, etc.) (Preferred) or 5 years of work experience, preferably in direct connection with senior management.  Completed Perspectives course at a certificate level

Office 365 Technical Support Administrator (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Position: Office 365 Technical Support Administrator (Part-Time, Volunteer)
Location: USA
Purpose: Provide overall technical and administrative support for Office 365 at MissionNext

Key duties: The responsibilities of Office 365 Support and Administration are to:

  • Support the Microsoft Office 365 environment at MissionNext (about 40-50 team members)
  • Set up MissionNext Email and Office 365 Accounts for new team members as required.
  • Ensure new team members are added to appropriate distribution lists, the Prayer Request list, and appropriate SharePoint cloud storage.
  • Provide training for MissionNext staff as needed to fully utilize the capabilities of Microsoft Office products and make team members aware of security issues that arise.
  • Troubleshoot and support desktop handling issues of low to medium complexity while working remotely.
  • Provide support for local desktop nationwide for both PC (XP to Windows 10) and Mac (macOS)
  • Respond to calls, emails, or other requests for support.

WordPress Web Manager, (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Job Description:

Overview:   IT has become an increasingly important discipline in world missions. This is an existing, emerging and evolving need. Make an eternal impact with this position.

Purpose:  To provide overall web support for MissionNext websites and hosting environment.

Key Duties:  Provides technical expertise and support of MissionNext websites and Linux hosting environment.  Maintains website functionality and operation, makes recommendations for functional and performance improvements, and implements approved enhancements.

Time Commitment: This is a part-time, self-supporting position requiring 10-15 hours per week on-going. (Initial on-ramp time may be greater.)

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with management regularly to discuss current and future functionality
  • Monitor security and perform all necessary updates
  • Monitor and report all web traffic
  • Make all necessary updates to the ministry site, minimizing downtime
  • Update content to reflect current SEO trends and make or recommend adjustments to improve SEO
  • Repair any broken links and fix any reported bugs

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience); master’s degree is a plus
  • Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, is a plus

Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in WordPress (WP), and WP compatible themes (such as GeneratePress, Elementor, Divi), plugins and overall website management and hosting.
  • Leadership and/or management experience is a plus

  • Increase awareness of the MissionNext Short-Term Pathway among our partners and other mission agencies.
  • Use web-based technology and develop relationships with Partners to identify their Short-Term mission needs.
  • Provide creative, effective and forward-thinking leadership.
  • Use desktop tools for planning and organizing multiple activities.

Virtual Store Manager (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Position:  Virtual Store Manager

Purpose: Launch and run an online store for MissionNext

Key duties: The store manager will work closely with members of the MissionNext team to:

Purpose: The Donor Development Specialist will generate external sources of donor revenue and gifting to ensure financial stability and continued growth of MissionNext.

  • Serve on the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Generate a comprehensive list of donor prospects.
  • Design and implement a systematic approach for contacting that list of donor prospects.

Journey Guide (Part-Time, Volunteer)

Position:  Journey Guide
Location:  USA
Purpose:  Helping others to be successful as they seek to serve the Lord in missions.

Key Duties:

  1. Contact candidates who post profiles on the MissionNext website to encourage them to use their passion, gifts and abilities for the Kingdom.
  2. Help candidates to understand their strengths/weaknesses, gifts and abilities through various assessments.
  3. Review with the candidates their score on the Qualified Candidate Scale and encourage them with steps to improve their score if needed.
  4. Assist the candidates in navigating the MissionNext resources for optimum results in the matching process with the mission agency partners.
  5. Document all communication in designated MissionNext systems.
  6. Maintain complete integrity and biblical standards in all aspects of mentoring. Work with and report to the Journey Guides Director.

Purpose:  The Regional Mobilizer will work to increase awareness of MissionNext within his/her region.

Partner Care Team Rep (Part-time Volunteer)

Position:  Partner Care Team Rep (Part-time Volunteer)

Location: USA

Purpose: To support and encourage our Mission Agency partners through prayer, phone calls and written notes.

Key duties: The responsibilities of the Partner Care Team Rep will be to develop a personal relationship with ten to twelve MissionNext partner agencies, become familiar with the agencies’ web sites, their ministry and their history with MissionNext. Rep will use a variety of software tools; for example, Microsoft Office 365, virtual communications tools, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (will train). Assist with planning and measuring the effectiveness of our MissionNext partner support.

Time Commitment: This is a part-time, volunteer position involving 10 or less hours per week.
